Sheffield Wednesday manager Stuart Gray hailed "the Keiren Westwood show" after seeing his goalkeeper produce a string of magnificent saves to thwart Norwich in a goalless Sky Bet Championship encounter at Hillsborough.
The Republic of Ireland keeper, who arrived from Sunderland in the summer, made five top-class saves as the visitors created by far the better chances.
The Owls have now gone seven games without a win, but it could have been even worse but for the heroics of Westwood, who Gray was quick to praise.
"It became the Keiren Westwood show - save after save after save he's ended up pulling off," he said.
"They're a good side and they put the ball into dangerous areas.
"Keiren Westwood has shown what a top-quality keeper he is with a man-of-the-match performance.
"He's a fantastic individual and he takes a lot of pride in his work and his performance."
Having beaten away Lewis Grabban's early effort, the 30-year-old Westwood then parried away a Bradley Johnson free-kick shortly before half-time.
But it was in a seven-minute spell after the interval that he produced his best saves - clawing away a Cameron Jerome header, tipping Nathan Redmond's low effort around the post and reserving his best for last when Jerome's stinging volley from a low Martin Olsson cross was somehow pushed away from the top corner.
At the other end the Owls offered comparatively little, with Stevie May heading their best chance wide from six yards in the eighth minute, and debutant Gary Taylor-Fletcher - who arrived from Leicester on a month-long loan deal earlier in the day - mis-controlling Claude Dielna's precise pass into the arms of Canaries keeper John Ruddy in the second half having sprung the offside trap.
But Gray believes there is plenty his side can take after a point took them into the top half.
"We've got to have a bit more self-belief because we started very well" he added. "The first 20 minutes we got them pegged back we got into good areas, then suddenly the second half their quality showed."
Opposite number Neil Adams was at a loss to explain how his side went a fifth game without victory but encouraged his players to stay patient after they slid to sixth.
"I thought we were too slow out the blocks - I was a bit disappointed with the level we started the game at," he said.
"I thought the longer the game went on the better we got and certainly the second half was very good.
"Unfortunately we ran into a keeper who was in world-class form today - full credit to him.
"The movement was good and we were getting shots away and the keeper has been excellent.
"The last four or five games we've probably deserved more than we've got and today is another one of those.
"We'll be fine if we keep going like that."
