An unfortunate injury has forced Jack Price to cut short a loan deal at Leyton Orient and return to parent club Wolverhampton Wanderers.

An ankle problem means the 21-year-old has lasted less than a month at Brisbane Road.

He had agreed to stay for three, with it important for him to get the regular game time denied him at Molineux.

Orient offered him the opportunities he craves as they sought to bring in cover for broken leg victim Lloyd James.

They have, however, suffered another untimely setback, with Price heading back to Wolves after making just three appearances.

Interim Orient boss Kevin Nugent said: “Losing Jack is a big blow and the injuries certainly aren’t going for us at the moment.

“Jack’s been a great addition – he was having a really good game as well at Doncaster.

“When he came in I knew what he was capable of in terms of keeping the game ticking over and he has good defensive instincts as well, so it’s disappointing.”
