Celtic goalkeeper Lukasz Zaluska has returned to training after an apparent violent street attack in the west end of Glasgow.

The 32-year-old took part in a full session at the club’s Lennoxtown training ground on Tuesday after being injured in the early hours of Monday morning.

Zaluska suffered facial injuries in the incident, and had his head covered throughout training.

Media reports in Scotland claim at least one Premiership player was involved in the attack, which happened while the keeper was with his partner in Ashton Lane.

Police said on Monday that they were investigating a report of an assault on a 32-year-old man but would not confirm details on Zaluska’s assailants.
