Fiorentina goalkeeper Norberto Neto has no interest in joining Juventus and remains in contract extension talks.

The Brazilian shot-stopper is one of a number of players to have entered the final year of their current deals in Florence.

Discussions have been opened with key men, but Neto is yet to commit to fresh terms.

That has sparked inevitable transfer talk, with Juventus reported to be keen on acquiring a proven Serie A performer, while Liverpool are also thought to be keeping tabs on the keeper.

Neto, though, is hoping that an agreement can be reached with Fiorentina, bringing an end to speculation he claims there is no substance to.

The 25-year-old told ESPN Brazil: “I don’t care about the contract extension talks, I’m very focused on the games we’ll have in the next few months.

“The club have been asking me to renew my contract since the end of last season but we haven’t found a deal.

“My first choice is Fiorentina as I’m happy in Florence and want to continue here.

“The Juventus interest? I don’t know anything and think these are just rumours.

“I don’t think I would go to Juventus (as a rival to Fiorentina). I would never give that disappointment to our fans.”
