Italian defender Giuseppe Bellusci has committed his future to Leeds United by signing a permanent contract that will keep him at Elland Road until 2018.

The 25-year-old centre-half originally joined on a one-year loan deal from Serie B side Catania but celebrated his birthday by extending that agreement.

United manager Dave Hockaday told the club website: "Giuseppe has come into the club and has made an instant impact with the rest of the squad. He is a strong personality with leadership skills.
