Former Ajaccio goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa has expressed a desire to join a top Ligue 1 club for the 2014/15 campaign.
The Mexico international, who is currently away on World Cup duty, has spent the last three years in France.
Having made well over 100 appearances during his time at Ajaccio, the 28-year-old has dropped into the free agent pool at the end of his contract.
Clubs from across Europe have been linked with an approach for his services, with players who have been capped on 60 occasions by their country rarely available on the open market.
Ochoa is prepared to consider all offers put to him, but has revealed that his preference would be to remain in France.
He has, however, aired ambitions of gracing the UEFA Champions League, which may force him to broaden his horizons.
Ochoa said in L’Equipe: “My priority is to stay in France, but I am open to any propositions.
“I have improved in the last three years, most notably in handling the pace of games.
“But I was used to top competition when I played in Mexico. I now need to play in the Champions League to be sure of my level.”
