Smith winner delights Cooper

Swindon manager Mark Cooper was delighted with Michael Smith's dramatic winner in the 2-1 win over Coventry.

Alex Pritchard opened the scoring before John Fleck equalised for Coventry just before half-time. But Smith headed in Jay McEveley's cross to secure three points with the last touch of the game to move Town within four points of sixth-placed Peterborough. And Cooper believes his side deserved their triumph and probably should have won the game by more. "It was fantastic way to win a game. On the balance of play it's what we deserved, I felt we totally dominated the game. We bossed the possession against - in my opinion - a really good football team. "I thought we should've been leading at half-time and we conceded a really soft goal. It was a frustration but I just wanted us to be more clinical in the final third. "We didn't take enough care of the final pass. It was fantastic for Smith to score in front of that many people. In the last month we've had a few highs and that was fantastic. "I don't know what the possession stats were but we were the better team in the second half and we got the win and we're still in contention."
