Sky Sports understands Premier League and Championship clubs have expressed an interest in Rais M'Bolhi.
The 27-year-old goalkeeper is currently contracted to Russian outfit Krylia Sovetov.
He has, however, spent much of the past two seasons out on loan - taking in spells in Bulgaria and France.
M'Bolhi has remained part of the Algeria international set-up throughout his time away from Russia and will be best remembered by English football followers as the man who secured a clean sheet for his country in a 0-0 draw with England at the 2010 World Cup.
Hearts fans will also be aware of his talents, as he took in a brief spell at Tynecastle back in 2006.
He could now be heading back to British shores, with his representative revealing that a number of sides are mulling over a summer approach.
Menzo Messaoudi of De Villiers Business Group told Sky Sports: "Rais is looking for a new challenge and his availability has alerted a few clubs in the Premier League and Championship as well as a few other European clubs.
"He is athletic, a serious trainer and has the burning desire to succeed at the highest level possible. We will see what happens in the coming weeks."
