Josh Lillis - Rochdale
Lillis saved a penalty and kept a clean sheet as Rochdale won 3-0 at play-off hopefuls Fleetwood Town to move eight points clear of the drop zone and surely secure League Two safety. After the visitors had taken an early lead, Lillis made a superb save to keep their advantage intact going into the interval when tipping over Peter Cavanagh's long-range effort just before the break. Dale added another goal before Fleetwood had a chance to get back into the game when a penalty was awarded after Michael Rose's scissor tackle on Jamille Matt. But Lillis guessed correctly, diving to his right to deny substitute Andy Mangan's spot-kick to keep Dale on course for the win.
Onismor Bhasera - Plymouth Argyle
The left-back played his part both at the back and going forward as the Pilgrims earned a vital 2-0 home win over promotion-chasing Cheltenham to boost their survival hopes. Among defensive duties, Bhasera cleared the ball to safety in first-half stoppage time after Jermaine McGlashan's curling shot was pushed away by Jake Cole. The hosts then doubled their lead in the 54th minute following a brilliant run by the left-back whose pace-driven cross flew off Town's Michael Hector and in to seal a precious three points.
Scott Doe - Dagenham & Redbridge
Scott Doe headed the only goal and also helped Dagenham keep a clean sheet in their crucial victory over Exeter at St James' Park. The only goal came with just five minutes on the clock as Doe ran in at the near post to connect with a corner kick and head emphatically past Artur Krysiak in the home goal. The win all but seals Dagenham's place in League Two for next season, while seventh-placed Exeter's promotion hopes were dealt a massive blow with the defeat - their third on the bounce.
Andrew Davies - Bradford
Davies passed a fitness test on his calf to play and earned the man-of-the-match plaudits in the Bantams' 1-0 win over third-placed Northampton. Davies was immense in keeping the Cobblers at bay under an aerial bombardment of crosses and long throw-ins, where he was given the job of making the first ball, a task he accomplished with aplomb. After a long spell out through injury, Davies has returned to shore up the defence of the promotion-chasing Bantams, with three wins out of their last four league games taking Phil Parkinson's side to the cusp of the play-offs.
Drew Talbot - Chesterfield
Talbot started at right-back in a reshuffled Spireites side in their 2-0 win at Barnet, playing a part in both goals as well as helping to keep the clean sheet. After a goalless opening half, Talbot played the ball into the feet of Jay O'Shea on the edge of the area, who created space before notching the 57th minute opener. The Spireites then secured their victory after good wing play from Talbot and Tendayi Darikwa set up a tap-in for Sam Togwell. The win moved Chesterfield up to ninth in the table, just three points off the play-offs.
Chris Birchell - Port Vale
Birchell helped second-placed Port Vale thrash Burton 7-1 on Friday night to maintain their strong push for promotion. Firstly, he curled in the third goal in the rout, striking with a stunning effort on 25 minutes from the edge of the box. Then after the break, Birchall was tripped by Alex MacDonald in the box to earn a spot-kick, which Lee Hughes scored to complete his hat-trick and seal another win, with Micky Adams' side now six points ahead of Cheltenham in fourth.
Sam Togwell - Chesterfield
Togwell notched the second goal as the Spireites reignited their play-off hopes with a 2-0 victory at Underhill. Even before a goal had been scored, Togwell indicated the visitors' intent by testing Graham Stack inside four minutes with a 30-yard drive that the keeper did well to turn round the post. After O'Shea managed to break the deadlock, Togwell then fired past Stack from close range late on to move the Spireites within striking distance of the play-offs.
Joel Grant - Wycombe
Grant struck a brilliant individual goal to give the Chairboys the spoils in a low-key 1-0 derby win over Oxford at the Kassam Stadium. His solo effort, in the 19th minute, was very special, as he beat two defenders with superb footwork on a jinking run into the box, and then rifled a low angled drive under U's keeper Luke McCormick. It was Grant's 10th goal of the season and lifted his side nine points clear of the drop zone after two 1-0 wins on their travels on the bounce.
Danny Kedwell -Gillingham
Kedwell's strike was enough to sink Torquay 1-0 and fire the league leaders back into League One after a three-year absence. The hosts were the better team throughout, with Kedwell and Steven Gregory both testing Gulls shot-stopper Martin Rice early on. Kedwell finally got the goal their play deserved with a fine volley in the 48th minute - his 15th goal of the season. With Rotherham and Northampton both losing, the victory saw Martin Allen's side rubber-stamp their return to England's third flight.
Lee Hughes - Port Vale
Hughes fired a hat-trick in Friday's demolition of Burton to tighten Port Vale's grip on a top-three finish in League Two. The veteran striker opened rampant Vale's account with a firm header from a Daniel Jones' cross. He then scored twice from the penalty spot, winning his first spot-kick after he was impeded by Zander Diamond and then sending Stuart Tomlinson the wrong way from 12 yards. After completing his hat-trick in the 51st minute, he was replaced seven minutes later to rapturous applause.
Nahki Wells - Bradford
Wells continued his remarkable scoring record against Northampton to send his side up to eighth in the table, two points behind seventh-placed Exeter with a game in hand. Wells scored the winner after 24 minutes with his 19th goal of the season and his sixth in five matches between the teams. It came after visiting goalkeeper Lee Nicholls failed to deal with a long pass out of defence from Garry Thompson and when Coventry loanee Nathan Cameron tried to head the ball out of play, Wells chased it and turned into the net as the Bantams hit form just at the right time.
