Team of the week
Artur Krysiak -Exeter City
Exeter secured a fourth win in five outings on Saturday to move to within a point of the automatic promotion places. They also chalked up back-to-back clean sheets, with Northampton put to the sword in a 3-0 success. Polish goalkeeper Krysiak has been a reliable last line of defence throughout the Grecians' impressive recent run of form.
Johnny Mullins - Rotherham United
Rotherham remain inside the play-off places after negotiating a fifth straight game without defeat. They were held to a 1-1 draw by Southend in their latest outing, but Steve Evans' men will be looking at that result as a point gained, rather than two lost. The Millers trailed until two minutes from time, when skipper Mullins bundled in a late leveller.
Steve Elliott - Cheltenham Town
With the top of League Two still intriguingly poised, Cheltenham remain very much in the hunt for a top-three finish. They returned to winning ways over the weekend, after three successive draws, and are one point adrift of the automatic promotion spots. Elliott helped the Robins past AFC Wimbledon on Saturday, as he broke the deadlock in a 2-1 success.
Chris McCready - Morecambe
Morecambe have work to do if they are to be involved in the promotion shake-up, but have kept themselves in contention with a 3-0 victory over Rochdale. Experienced defender McCready put them on their way against Dale, as he netted inside the opening 10 minutes, and went on to help a resolute back four secure another shutout.
Leon Legge - Gillingham
League leaders Gillingham saw another two points slip through their grasp on Saturday, meaning they have taken only one from their last two fixtures, but they displayed commendable fighting spirit to snatch a share of the spoils at Aldershot. Legge grabbed an equaliser for the Gills in a 1-1 draw at the Recreation Ground, ensuring that they remain unbeaten on the road since October.
Anthony Stewart - Wycombe Wanderers
It appeared as though Wycombe's home date with Fleetwood would end goalless heading into the dying seconds at Adams Park. There was, however, to be a late twist as the hosts claimed a dramatic winner. Stewart was the man in the right place at the right time, as he nodded home in the final minute of the 90.
Jake Gosling - Exeter City
Exeter's productive run of results has already been discussed, with the Grecians THE form side in the fourth tier right now. Confidence is soaring at St James Park, allowing those charged with the task of generating results to express themselves. Gosling certainly caught the eye against Northampton, with his fine solo effort the pick of the goals in a 3-0 victory.
John-Joe O'Toole - Bristol Rovers
Burton Albion are flying high in the League Two standings, but were brought back down to earth with a bump by Bristol Rovers on Saturday. The Pirates prevailed 3-0 in a home meeting with a side that had gone seven games without defeat - winning their last four. O'Toole helped to down the Brewers, with his effort just past the hour mark putting Rovers in complete control.
Alfie Potter - Oxford United
Oxford could have been forgiven for expecting the worst heading into back-to-back fixtures against Gillingham and Port Vale - the top two in League Two. They are, however, currently celebrating a six-point haul. Potter was the inspiration behind both successes, as he followed up his midweek winner against the Gills with another in a 2-1 victory over Vale.
James Hanson - Bradford City
Bradford have responded positively to their Capital One Cup final heartbreak, collecting four points from their last two league fixtures. Hanson has found the target in each of their outings since Wembley, including grabbing the opener in a 2-0 victory over York on Saturday. The powerful frontman has now moved into double figures for the season.
Ronan Murray - Plymouth Argyle
Strikers are aware of the need to open their account for a new employer as quickly as possible, allowing them to relax a little. Murray did just that on Saturday, as he netted in his seventh outing for Plymouth. The 21-year-old Irishman, who is on loan at Home Park from Ipswich, helped the Pilgrims to three priceless points in a 2-1 victory over fellow strugglers Barnet.
