Mike Delinquent Project picks his Arsenal-themed dream five-a-side team... Mike Delinquent Project is having a big impact on the UK Garage scene, with new single 'Mama Said', featuring Mikill Pain, out this week. Sky Sports caught up with the long-time Arsenal supporter as he named his dream five-a-side team.
David Seaman
'Safe Hands' has to be my top choice. He's an ideal keeper for five-a-side match too with his shot stopping and ball distribution. There wasn't one match where I wouldn't see Seaman make a save which looked impossible, but somehow he would pull it off. A memorable save was versus Sheffield United in the FA Cup in 2003 when he managed to claw out a header destined for the goal.
Bobby Moore
Bobby Moore was one of the greatest defenders who ever graced the beautiful game. He knew when to time a tackle and was an excellent passer of the ball. He's perfect for my dream team - he's a winner. I always remember seeing footage of that famous match versus Brazil in the 1970 World Cup where he made several world-class tackles. No one would be able to get past him in my team and, as a leader, Bobby is my captain.
Zinedine Zidane
In five-a-side you need skilful players and ones that can pass accurately. Zidane is precise and can change the pace of the game in the blink of an eye. He can take on players, create chances and score. His goal in the 2002 Champions League final is my favourite goal of his. He'd be unstoppable in my five-a-side line-up.
Dennis Bergkamp
Bergkamp is one of the first names down on my team sheet. As a link between midfield and attack, his vision and creativity would unlock the most stubborn defences. He's one of my all-time favourite players. The first Arsenal match I ever went to was a 5-0 hammering of Leicester City in 1999. It was a privilege to see what he did that day. He didn't score, but he didn't need to! He stole the show with how he controlled the game, setting up most of the goals. With Bergkamp in my line-up, I know he can provide and score goals and cause defences a lot of problems.
Ian Wright
When you need goals, Wrighty is your man. Put the ball through for him, he'll stick it in the back of the net. One of the most natural finishers in the game. Five-a-side is a quick paced game and very instinctive, so you need a great finisher, someone with the eye for goal. Ian Wright is a big personality too, great to have on the pitch. His volley at Wembley against Manchester United, with Peter Schmeichel in goal, was one of my stand out memories of him. Five songs Mike would have on in the dressing room to fire up his side... Joe Budden - Pump It Up Prodigy - Firestarter Dizzee Rascal - Stand Up Tall Jay-Z - Big Pimpin Notorious B.I.G - Hypnotise Mike Delinquent Project's new single 'Mama Said' featuring Mikill Paine and long time collaborator KCAT is available now on iTunes.
