For Dagenham-born rapper and Tottenham fan Devlin, the chance to combine two of his biggest passions - music and football - is one too good to turn down.
So it's no surprise that he is relishing the challenge of competing to produce the official FA Cup anthem, with the grime star set to showcase his entry, 'Sun Goes Down', at the Britannia Stadium this weekend when Stoke host Manchester City in the fourth round.
Devlin is hoping his tune can beat off competition from the likes of MOBO-winner Lethal Bizzle - cousin of Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong - and the Pigeon Detectives, with a chance to perform at the Wembley final in May awaiting the victor.
Sky Sports caught up with the wordsmith ahead of his trip to the Potters on Saturday as he named his dream five-a-side team which, unsurprisingly, has a flavour of Spurs about it.
Pat Jennings
He's a legend in his own right. He made loads of appearances and he was always good for us. Just a top player.
Sol Campbell
Last time I mentioned Campbell I got ribbed a lot, but he was brilliant for us. He was solid as a rock, nothing was getting past him. He was Tottenham through and through, with the emphasis on was. He was playing for the team, you could see he had his heart in it.
Gareth Bale
Bale is like the next generation, he's the new guy on the block. He's the best player we've got at the moment and he's exciting. He goes past players and he brings another element to our football. When he did Maicon in the Champions League, that was the start of him becoming a big name and people started to recognise him as a top player.
Glenn Hoddle
He's probably one of the best English midfielders ever, and one of my heroes. He's definitely one of Tottenham's best ever players so he's got to be in there. There was an FA Cup match, I can't place it exactly, but he basically took on the whole defence, he passed about six players. It was magical to see his close control. He was playing the kind of football players are playing these days.
Jermain Defoe
I think he's a little bit unlucky, Defoe. I think he should be in the team a lot more. I don't know if he and Harry Redknapp had a problem, he never played much for Harry. He's a prolific striker; he gets chances and he scores. That's what you want from a striker. He's hard-working and he finishes. In every single game he should be the first name on the team-sheet. I don't know why they put Wayne Rooney ahead of Defoe for England - it doesn't make any sense.
