Interim Chelsea coach Rafael Benitez says he has not had the time to consider adding to his attacking options in the January transfer window.

Benitez insists he can improve the current group of players and he has not given much thought to what he might do in the New Year.

One option would be to recall Romelu Lukaku from his impressive loan spell at West Bromwich Albion, and Benitez knows he will have plenty to ponder.

He said: "I know the player. He's fine. It's not an option at the moment. I've not had time.

"I've been so busy, I haven't had the time to watch any DVD's, or have conversations about this or that player.

"I have to improve the players here."

Meanwhile, the former Liverpool boss thinks he knows how to improve Fernando Torres' poor form for Chelsea.

He said: "The first thing is to give him some confidence, instructions how he can do things in a different way and improve him a little bit physically.

"I'm sure he can improve, but the team has to help him."
