Fulham were held to a goalless draw against Denmark's HB Koge during their pre-season trip to Germany.
Cottagers boss Martin Jol used his squad to the maximum during the frustrating stalemate in Leipzig with new signings Sascha Riether and Mladen Petric making their bow after the interval.
Veteran goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer captained the side in the first half which saw few chances created at FC Grimma's Stadion der Freundschaft.
Fulham's powerful striker Marcello Trotta had the best opportunity of the half, but his volley was well saved by the Koge goalkeeper.
Jol then changed his entire team for the restart, bringing in Fulham newcomers in the shape of former Cologne defender Riether and Croatian striker Petric.
However, despite more pressure, the Cottagers continued to be frustrated as Mesca, tipped as Fulham's next rising star, had a drive deflected wide before John Arne Riise's shot was straight down the 'keeper's throat.
There were late chances for Petric who headed over, and Riise who dragged his shot wide when clear, but Koge held on to share the spoils.
