Liverpool midfielder Lucas picks his #One2Eleven on The Fantasy Football Club.

The Brazilian had a tough time selecting it - leaving out stars such as Dani Alves and Julio Cesar - but ended up going for a 4-3-3 formation...

GOALKEEPER: Pepe Reina

He has a strong character and is great to play with. He is the best goalkeeper I have played with. It was tough between him and Julio Cesar, but Reina just gets in.

RIGHT-BACK: Maicon

He was unstoppable. For me he was the perfect right-back. Attacks with real quality but defensively he is very strong. He would be my first choice.

CENTRE-BACK: Daniel Agger

He had everything for a defender. Was so good on the ball, driving the team forward. He is aggressive and strong, and is what you want to see in a defender.

CENTRE-BACK: Thiago Silva

For the past few years, Thiago Silva has been the best defender in the world. His positional play is always good, his reading of the game is fantastic. With the ball he keeps it simple.

LEFT-BACK: Marcelo

Played with him at the Olympics for the national team. He has improved a lot with his defending and deserves everything he is achieving with Real Madrid.

CENTRE MIDFIELD: Xabi Alonso

He is what every midfield player wants to have in terms of passing ability. For me it was great to watch and learn from him when I came to Liverpool.

CENTRE MIDFIELD: Gilberto Silva

Every team needs a player who can do the dirty work. In my first game for the national team, he spoke to me a lot and told me where I should be.

CENTRE MIDFIELD: Steven Gerrard

Of course, most people would have Stevie as a No 8, but I have seen enough of him as a No 10 to know it will work. He is a pleasure to play with, and leads by example every day.

LEFT FORWARD: Ronaldinho

I remember when I shared a room with Ronaldinho and I was so nervous, but he was so nice and helpful. Everything he did was perfect. Players like this you don’t see everyone.

CENTRE FORWARD: Luis Suarez

He never stops running, chasing and pressing the defenders. To have a player like him playing against you is a nightmare as you never have any time.

RIGHT FORWARD: Neymar

Like any Brazilian, he likes his tricks and to have a laugh. If he continues to improve the way he is, he will be the best player in the world in a few years.
