Spain boss Inaki Saez will make four changes to the Spain side that drew with Greece for the crucial showdown with neighbours Portugal on Sunday.

Two of the changes are enforced with Joseba Etxeberria and Carlos Marchena missing out through injury and suspension respectively, but Saez has also decided to freshen up his side with a couple of other switches.

Joaquin, who impressed after coming on at half-time against Greece, will come in for Etxeberria while Real Betis defender Juanito will be given the nod over Cesar to replace Marchena.

Meanwhile, Xabi Alonso will start in central midfield in place of Ruben Baraja and striking sensation Fernando Torres will be given his first start of the tournament in place of Fernando Morientes.

Real Madrid full back Raul Bravo will make the game at the Estadio Jose Alvalade after overcoming injury.

Spain winger Vicente, who has enjoyed an impressive start to the competition, insists it will be considered a huge failure if Spain do not progress from the group stages.

"It would be a failure not to be in the quarter finals," stated the Valencia star. "Spain are a team that should go beyond the quarter finals."

Torres went on to insist that the Spain squad were not fazed by the prospect of having to avoid defeat to survive, and claimed that the draw against Greece had actually brought the players closer together.

"After the draw against Greece the team has united a lot," stated the Atletico Madrid star.

"We do not want to be remembered as a team that did not stand up and be counted."
