German striker Miroslav Klose is a doubt for Wednesday's friendly international with South Africa after picking up a shin injury.
Klose missed training on Monday after picking up a knock in Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Slovakia.
Head coach Jurgen Klinsmann is unlikely to risk the Werder Bremen star against Bafana Bafana despite being keen to bounce back from the disappointing loss in Bratislava.
Better news for Klinsmann, however, is the return to fitness of Arne Friedrich after the Hertha Berlin defender overcame a stomach virus.
