Buffon issues rallying call

Gianluigi Buffon says Italy will give their all to win the World Cup.

Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has assured the Azzurri faithful that he and his team-mates will be doing everything they can to win the World Cup.

Italy face France in Berlin on Sunday, and it is Marcello Lippi's side that are favourites to take the crown.

"We have done some good things and our confidence has grown, but one thing is for sure we won't disappoint," said Buffon.

"I can't say for certainty we will win - but for sure we will be in the match until the end.

"For me this will be the match of my life - during this World Cup I have never feared losing and I felt sure as never before in my career and this is thanks to my team-mates.

"Prediction - we have at least a 50 percent chance," he quipped.

On the domestic front with relegation looming over Juventus - Buffon admits he does not know where his future lies.

"I don't know if I'll stay at Juve," he said.

"As for myself one thing is sure: I'm proud to be a player for the Italian National team. I can say this 100 percent."
