Benfica's Italian striker Fabrizio Miccoli is dreaming of playing in this summer's World Cup, however he realises his chances have been hindered by injuries.
The former Fiorentina and Perugia star is currently on loan with the Portuguese giants from Juventus and is enjoying his football.
Miccoli was tipped for a big future in the game, although injury hampered his time with Juve culminating in his loan switch to Benfica.
"I'm dreaming of playing for the national team. I would like to be part of the Azzurri," Miccoli told Rai tv.
"But the injuries I've suffered have made it difficult to put myself on stage in the way I wanted to."
Miccoli is due to return to the Old Lady this summer, but has not ruled out the possibility of extending his stay with Benfica.
"I feel good in Portugal, but coming back would be great. I'll speak with Juve and Benfica in May," he added.
