Lippi recalls duo

Coach Marcello Lippi has recalled Alessandro Del Piero and Francesco Totti to the Italian squad to face Republic of Ireland in the August 17 friendly at Lansdowne Road.

Del Piero and Totti were omitted from the party that toured North America in June but are included again as Italy warm up for September's World Cup qualifier in Scotland.

Lippi favours Udinese striker Vincenzo Iaquinta over Roma's Antonio Cassano, while Palermo goalkeeper Matteo Guardalben is drafted in in place of Gianluigi Buffon, who is suffering a shoulder injury.
