Elephants prepare for Dutch

Ivory Coast will use their inside knowledge of Dutch football, to beat Holland.

Ivory Coast are to use their inside knowledge of Dutch football, as they prepare to go head-to-head with Holland on June 16.

Twenty-two-year-old forward Arouna Kone plies his trade with the Eredivisie champions PSV Eindhoven, and believes his experience could prove crucial for the team's crunch encounter.

"I know them a little bit. When we start watching videos of Dutch games I can comment on the play and help the team," Kone commented.

"The Dutch team is young like us. They do not have as much experience as the Argentinians, but experience is not everything."

Holland looked comfortable as they beat Serbia & Montenegro 1-0 in their opening Group C game, while the Elephants went down 2-1 against Argentina.

Ivorian captain Bonaventure Kalou, 28, played for Feyenoord between 1999 and 2003 and is feeling sentimental because of his personal circumstances.

"It will be strange to play against my adopted country and yes there will be lots of emotion," Kalou told Dutch television.

Both sides play in the same colour, so no matter what the result it's guaranteed to be an orange day in the crucial Group C clash.
