Dutch midfielders Wesley Sneijder and Philip Cocu are both in line for a starting role against Serbia & Montenegro on Sunday after successfully coming through training.
Marco van Basten's mounting injury problems caused him to call up two backup players last week, but Nigel de Jong and Stijn Schaars were both sent home as Holland's worries eased.
Now van Basten's cause has been helped further with the news that his Dutch based duo will both be ready for the Group C opener against their fellow Europeans.
Ajax schemer Sneijder has shrugged off an ankle injury whilst Cocu insists he is now fully fit after recovering from a thigh problem.
"The most important is that I can start fit and without any further risk," Cocu told a news conference.
"I did my job this week and normally I will regain my rhythm pretty quickly."
Both are expected to start after training with the rest of the squad, and the pair will bolster van Basten's midfield as he looks to start Holland's pursuit of their first World Cup victory in positive fashion.
