Holland won the battle of two Euro 2004 qualifiers, with Dick Advocaat's side handing out a 4-0 drubbing to Greece.
Expectation in the Holland is high that the Oranje can go all the way this summer and on this form they will be difficult to stop.
Second half goals by Roy Makaay, Boudewijn Zenden, John Heitinga and Pierre van Hooijdonk killed off the Greek challenge.
Bayern Munich marksman Makaay lit the touchpaper on 50 minutes when converting following good work from Zenden.
Middlesbrough man Zenden got in on the goalscoring act shortly afterwards, firing home with the aid of a deflection.
Ajax youngster Heitinga has shown remarkable improvement this term and he will have done his case no harm with the third shortly after the hour, his first goal for his country.
Van Hooijdonk rounded off the goals in the last minute to cap a fine night for the Oranje.
Advocaat will look for more of the same in Portugal, while, on this showing, Greece coach Otto Rehhagel will have to dig deep into his locker of tricks to find some improvement ahead of June's big kick-off.
