Norwich City winger Wes Hoolahan has been included in Republic of Ireland's provisional squad for their friendly against Greece in November.
Manager Giovanni Trapattoni has named the former Blackpool player after watching him impress in Norwich's Premier League victory over Arsenal.
Robbie Keane is rested for the game versus Greece in Dublin on 14th November while Shane Long, Richard Dunne and Sean St Ledger are all injured.
But Everton centre-back Shane Duffy, Crystal Palace's Damien Delaney, Chelsea midfielder Conor Clifford and Sunderland's David Meyler have all been included.
Trapattoni plans to trim his squad to 23 before the match at the Aviva Stadium, but is waiting on injury updates.
"I have decided to choose a provisional 26-man squad for this game due to injury doubts over players," said Trapattoni.
"As we have a break from competitive games for a few months, I am using this fixture as an opportunity to try out new players and view their potential."
