The Irish Football Association has confirmed Northern Ireland will play against Holland in a friendly on 2nd June.

Holland are rated as the second best team in the world according to the FIFA rankings, and the match will form part of their preparations for Euro 2012.

The game will take place at the Amsterdam ArenA, which is the home ground of Ajax.

Northern Ireland are currently without a manager following the resignation of Nigel Worthington in October.

So the new manager will be faced with the prospect of tackling the multi-talented Dutch team in his first away match at the helm.

Meanwhile, Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers had been approached about doing the job on a part-time basis but declined the offer.
