Northern Ireland star David Healy is desperate for Lawrie Sanchez to remain in charge.
Despite leading his side to a famous victory over Spain on Wednesday, Sanchez's future is in serious doubt as he is believed to be angry at the media reaction following Northern Ireland's previous loss to Iceland.
Healy, who bagged a sensational hat-trick against Spain, is hopeful Sanchez will continue his tenure at Windsor Park.
"There is no way I want him to leave and I'm sure it's the same for the other lads and of course the fans," he said.
"Lawrie has been brilliant for my international career - he's backed me ever since he became the manager.
"He has played me in every game I've been available and I've been fortunate enough to be very successful under him for Northern Ireland.
"We are a nation that is on the up in football terms and it is Lawrie Sanchez who has been the man behind that improvement.
"I know all the players want to keep it going and obviously the fans want to see us progress. We can do that with Lawrie in charge."
