David Beckham has paid tribute to Gary Speed following the Wales manager's death at the age of 42. LA Galaxy star Beckham was speaking in Jakarta, Indonesia, where his MLS club began a three-city tour of Asia and Australia. And the former England captain began a news conference by paying tribute to Speed, who was found dead at his home on Sunday morning. "Obviously, firstly I'd like to speak about Gary," said Beckham. "I think he was an amazing and talented player, a player that had such a glittering career, and had just begun a great career in management as well. "On behalf of myself, the players, the manager and everybody at the LA Galaxy, we would like to send our love and thoughts to his wife, his children and family because it's a sad time."
