St Johnstone striker Stevie May could be on his way to Rotherham after the Scottish club confirmed talks have begun between the two clubs.
The Scotland Under-21 international's future has been subject to speculation this summer amongst suggestions he is set for a move to England.
Rotherham had a previous bid reported to be around £300,000 rejected by the SPL side insisting they would not settle for anything less than £800,000.
But St Johnstone have released a statement confirming talks between the two clubs have re-opened.
It read: "St Johnstone can confirm that they have received an approach from Rotherham United regarding Stevie May and talks between the two clubs are on-going."
May was nominated for the PFA Scotland young player of the year award last season after bagging 27 goals.
He also helped the McDiarmid side lift the William Hill Scottish Cup for the first time in their history after bagging a double in the 2-1 semi-final win over Aberdeen.
