Cameron Stewart: Hull winger could earn his first senior international cap with Scotland

Hull City flyer Cameron Stewart's fine start to the season has alerted Scotland boss Craig Levein, who wants to secure his international future.

Stewart, 20, began his career at Manchester United and has already represented England from Under-17 up to Under-20 level.

Levein would like to increase the pool of young talented players at his disposal and believes Stewart - who has a Scottish mother - falls into that category.

Dialogue

"We have spoken to Cameron," said Levein. "Mick Oliver (Scotland team scout) has done a lot of the work and we're keeping an eye on him.

"There's an ongoing dialogue. It's just a matter of watching him and seeing how he's doing. He's made us aware he'd be interested.

"Cameron's playing regularly for Hull, but he had an injury when he was out for a long time.

"We're just monitoring him right now, but he's definitely one we know about."
