Chris Iwelumo has admitted striker Kris Boyd's absence from the Scotland side is a 'big loss'.
Boyd announced over the weekend he would not represent Scotland again while manager George Burley was in charge.
The Rangers forward, who played just 28 minutes in six matches under Burley, came to the decision after he was left on the bench for the 0-0 World Cup qualifier draw with Norway.
Boyd has netted seven goals in 15 international appearances, and Iwelumo feels the Scots will miss his firepower in the games to come.
"It's a big loss. He brings goals - his goalscoring tally is unbelievable," said the Wolves frontman.
"It's disappointing he's come to that decision but everyone to their own."
