Wolves striker Chris Iwelumo has been handed his first call-up to the Scotland squad for this month's World Cup qualifier against Norway.

Iwelumo has been rewarded for his superb form for Wolves this season with the big forward having netted eight goals in seven games so far.

Scotland boss George Burley has also recalled Bristol City defender Jamie McAllister, whose only cap came against Trinidad and Tobago more than four years ago.

Skipper Barry Ferguson is still missing as he recovers from ankle surgery, while Spurs defender Alan Hutton is also sidelined.

Celtic captain Stephen McManus is missing as he serves a suspension following his sending off against Iceland.

Surprisingly Hearts midfielder Michael Stewart has been left out despite Burley claiming last week he would be involved.

Birmingham striker Garry O'Connor and Preston defender Callum Davidson have also been omitted.
