TURKEY V ENGLAND TEAM NEWS

Turkey hope veteran striker Hakan Sukur will recover from a knee injury in time to start in attack.

He is expected to be partnered with Real Sociedad forward Nihat Kahveci, so Ilhan Mansiz will probably be on the bench.

Sergen Yalcin, who scored twice for Besiktas against Chelsea, is a doubt with a leg injury. Aston Villa defender Alpay and Blackburn midfielder Tugay should both start.

Emile Heskey and Wayne Rooney are expected to be paired in attack by England manager Sven Goran Eriksson.

The Everton teenager has scored in his last two internationals while, with Liverpool team-mate Michael Owen injured, Heskey is likely to be recalled.

Chelsea's John Terry is set to deputise for the absent Rio Ferdinand in the centre of defence while Ashley Cole will probably be preferred to Wayne Bridge at left back.

Paul Scholes, who missed the wins over Slovakia and Liechtenstein, is back so Frank Lampard may have to be content with a place on the bench.
