Eriksson urged England fans not to travel to the clash in Istanbul claiming that England fans would die if they travelled to the game on October 11 that could see England qualify for Euro 2004 as group winners.
Internazionale star Emre, though, has revealed the disgust of the Turkish dressing room at the Swede's comments and said the remarks have given his side extra incentive to win the game.
As the FA look for ideas to repair the damage of the remarks, Emre said: "Everyone is saying Turkish people are bad and that bad things will happen. This is upsetting the players.
"For every English person that comes to Turkey, there is no problem.
"It has hurt the players what has been said, it's not nice - it's bad to say this.
"I think the players want to win more because of this, they are not happy because it's just football."
