The aftermath of the stormy encounter at Sunderland's Stadium of Light has continued for several days - with the European governing body likely to look at complaints about the English supporters - and some of the post-match opinion from players.
Emre Asik allegedly told the Turkish press that David Beckham should stay away from Turkey 'for his own safety,' and FA marketing and media director Paul Barber believes that the comments should be looked at.
"If it can be proved then maybe Uefa need to have a look and investigate what went on," said Barber.
"If Turkish players have said those things then they have been stupid.
"But our players will not have been affected. They have been focused on playing football up to now and will remain so."
