Lyon midfielder Clement Grenier has been called up to Didier Deschamps' France squad for next month's friendlies in Uruguay and Brazil.
Grenier has been added to the touring party due to doubts over the fitness of Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri, although the exact problem with the 25-year-old was not clarified.
Nasri has been in New York with English Premier League side City and played in two games against Chelsea, winning 4-3 and 5-3.
He had been recalled to the national side after a year-long absence following a three-game international ban for his behaviour during Euro 2012.
A statement on the French football federation's website, www.fff.fr, said: "Because of doubts on Samir Nasri's health after Manchester City's two games in the United States, Didier Deschamps has called up Clement Grenier."
France play Uruguay on June 5 and Brazil on June 9.
