Oscar admits having fellow Brazilians around him at Chelsea helped him to settle quickly in English football.

The Blues dug deep to land the Samba star from Internacional last summer, with the 21-year-old agreeing to take on a new challenge in Europe.

Oscar has fared admirably during his debut season at Stamford Bridge, with it never easy for players to produce their best immediately after making such a big career shift.

He concedes that compatriots David Luiz and Ramires helped him to adapt, and he now feels at home in the Premier League.

"It was very important for me to have them here and my adaption has been quicker thanks to them being here," Oscar told Globo Esporte.

"They have helped me a lot and we are good friends off the pitch. We have a good relationship and I'm sure that will continue throughout our careers."

Oscar has enjoyed his time at Stamford Bridge so far and is looking forward to turning out in familiar surroundings when Brazil take in a friendly date with Russia on 25th March.

He added: "It will be very special to play with Brazil at Stamford Bridge.

"Playing with the national team is always special, but to do it here will be even more special. It's a unique occasion to play for my country at my club's home."
