Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster is delighted with his first call-up to the England national team.
The 24-year-old has been included in Roy Hodgson's squad for their World Cup qualifiers against San Marino and Poland this month.
Forster will become only the second Celtic player ever to play for the Three Lions should he be picked, and he is pleased to have been handed the opportunity.
"We have shown what we can do in the Champions League and I will just show what I can do and hopefully that is enough," he said.
"It is a great chance to go and learn and I can't wait."
Forster added that this week in which he featured in Celtic's 3-2 win at Spartak Moscow in the Champions League on Tuesday is one of the best in his career.
"It's obviously up there," he said. "We had a great result on Tuesday night and I got a call up as well so I am obviously delighted.
"Everyone here at Celtic have really helped me, I am delighted and everyone is delighted for me."
Forster is also hopeful that Hoops forward Gary Hooper gets the chance to play for England in the near future.
"I think Hoops has been in terrific form," he said. "He showed that on Tuesday night with what was a fantastic performance.
"He is a quality player and I'm sure it will happen for him."
