Portugal have named Brazilian-born Liedson in their squad for their World Cup qualifiers with Denmark and Hungary.

Portugal have named Brazilian-born Liedson in their squad for their World Cup qualifiers with Denmark and Hungary. The 31-year-old has been playing for Sporting Lisbon since 2003 and has an outstanding goalscoring record. Liedson has now become the third naturalised Brazilian to pledge his allegiance to Portugal in recent years, following on from Chelsea's Deco and Pepe of Real Madrid - both of whom are also in Carlos Queiroz' squad, Queiroz has also recalled Maniche, Rui Patricio, Nuno Gomes and Jose Castro.
