Patrick Vieira has been left out of the France squad for their next two World Cup qualifiers against Lithuania.
The 32-year-old Inter Milan midfielder, who has 106 caps to his name, has only played in one of the last 14 France internationals because of a string of injuries.
And head coach Raymond Domenech has overlooked the former Arsenal player, while handing Toulouse striker Andre-Pierre Gignac his first call-up.
France visit Lithuania on 28th March before hosting the Baltic team four days later. Les Bleus are third in Group Seven with four points from three games.
