Paul Robinson has been drafted into the England squad to face Germany after Joe Hart was ruled out through injury.
Hart has been sidelined for up to a month after picking up an ankle injury in Manchester City's 2-2 draw with Hull City on Sunday.
England coach Fabio Capello has now considered his options and decided to go with Blackburn Rovers star Paul Robinson.
Robinson has shown good form in recent weeks and he has been rewarded with a recall to the senior squad.
Robinson has not played for England since the Euro 2008 qualifying defeat to Russia in October last year.
Robinson joins David James and Scott Carson in the squad for the clash in Berlin.
