Chelsea defender Michael Mancienne and Tottenham striker Darren Bent have been named in the England squad to face Germany in Berlin on Wednesday.
Mancienne, who is currently on loan with Championship side Wolves and is yet to make an appearance for the Stamford Bridge club, receives his first call-up to the senior squad after several impressive outings for the Under-21 side.
Bent has been handed his chance to shine in the friendly international after a recent run of good form under Harry Redknapp at White Hart Lane.
Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has been included along with team-mates Ashley Young and Curtis Davies.
Manchester City defender Micah Richards is selected for the first time by Capello and Eastlands goalkeeper Joe Hart is also included.
As expected, there is no place in the squad for David Beckham, while Newcastle striker Michael Owen continues to be overlooked.
Manchester United duo Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand were ruled out by Sir Alex Ferguson as they are suffering with respective calf and back problems.
England and Chelsea captain John Terry has been included in the 23-man party but is a doubt for the match after suffering a foot injury in the Blues' 3-0 win over West Brom and will undergo a scan on Sunday.
