Scotland manager George Burley has been shorn of the services of a further four players for Friday's friendly against the Czech Republic.

Burley met up with his players in Loch Lomond on Monday afternoon to discover that Tottenham full-back Alan Hutton, Birmingham striker James McFadden and Rangers duo Kevin Thomson and Steven Whittaker have all withdrawn from the trip to Prague through injury.

Thomson and Whittaker were both in line to make their international debut but a long, hard season with the Gers has taken its toll.

Absentees

Club-mates Barry Ferguson, Lee McCulloch, Allan McGregor and David Weir were already absent from the original squad named by Burley earlier this month.

The Scotland boss has made one further call-up following the four withdrawals, drafting in uncapped Motherwell striker David Clarkson for the game against the Euro 2008 qualifiers.
