Yevhen Konoplyanka’s father and agent insists he is the only person representing the Dnipro winger after recent comments emerged from another agency regarding his future.
James Lippett of World In Motion agency was quoted as Konoplyanka’s agent, saying that Italian clubs are interested in signing the 25-year-old, who is out of contract next summer.
Quotes attributed to Lippett claimed "there are many ready to get him to sign if he is available for free next June" and that he could "certainly confirm" interest from Italy.
Konoplyanka has been heavily linked with Serie A sides Roma and Inter Milan, as well as Liverpool and Tottenham in recent windows, but his father, Oleg, issued a statement to dispute the claims.
The statement read: "Following the comments from James Lippett of World In Motion agency to the Italian media regarding supposed interest of Roma and Inter Milan , it is necessary to clarify that James Lippett and World in Motion are not the agents of my son Yevhen and therefore do not have the right to speak to anyone on his behalf .
"As both his father and agent , I am the only person who represents his interests."
