Tottenham goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes has revealed that he received an offer to join Brazilian side Internacional before they signed Dida.
The 32-year-old has not featured for Spurs since November 2011 and is currently third in the pecking order behind Hugo Lloris and Brad Friedel at White Hart Lane.
Gomes spent part of last season on loan at Bundesliga outfit 1899 Hoffenheim, making nine appearances, but does not figure in Spurs' first-team plans.
Former AC Milan stopper Dida joined Internacional earlier this year after leaving Gremio, but Gomes says he was also approached by the club.
"I had some talks with Internacional before they signed Dida, in the end they chose Dida, who is a great goalkeeper," he told Radio Gaucha.
