Manchester City are looking into a deadline day deal for Porto defender Eliaquim Mangala.
City are also being strongly linked with his team-mate Fernando as the Premier League leaders could make a massive impact on transfer deadline day.
A deal for 22-year-old Mangala particularly would involve a major outlay with a fee needing to be in excess of £30million.
Sky Sports sources understand that there have been conversations between the two clubs, but as yet no deal has been agreed.
Javi Garcia and Marcos Lopes are also been talked about as potentially moving in the opposite direction.
Reports have also claimed that a deal for Mangala could then allow Joleon Lescott to depart the club, with West Ham known to be interested in the England defender.
