Sparta Prague have denied receiving any bids for midfielder Josef Husbauer, despite reported interest from Everton.
The 23-year-old has six full Czech Republic appearances to his name having impressed since his move from Banik Ostrava in 2011.
Husbauer's style of play has been likened to that of former Everton favourite Mikel Arteta, but club spokesman Ondrej Kasik says that there has been no contact from the Toffees as of yet.
"At the moment we are not registering any offer for him but we are aware that Josef Husbauer is a known name in Europe," he told iSport.
Meanwhile, the youngster's agent, Ondrej Chovanec, admitted that he is aware of interest from a number of clubs and talked up the possibility of a bid from Roberto Martinez' side.
"It would flatter us if Everton were interested," he said.
"At the moment, I don't want to support any speculation because the transfer window is not open yet.
"The truth is, however, that big clubs are interested in Josef. There is also interest in Germany and Belgium.
"When somebody scores nine goals (as a midfielder), then it is logical he attracts interest.
"Anyway, Sparta will have the first and final word in this. I need to discuss the situation with them before I can be specific."
