Anderlecht striker Dieumerci Mbokani says that he intends to leave the Belgian club at the end of the season, despite having another year remaining on his contract.
The 27-year old has scored 17 goals in 19 games so far in the Belgian Pro League this season and he has been linked with a move to a number of European clubs.
The Congolese international was red carded during a recent game against Genk and he says that game was the final straw for him.
"I am very upset with those referees in the league, their role is to protect players who are here to give joy to fans not to let them be attacked by other players on the field," Mbokani explained to Sky Sports.
"Yes I know I score goals but to be attacked this way, it is not good. I want to leave and go to a country where they protect strikers."
