Barrios joined Guangzhou from Borussia Dortmund on a four-year deal in the summer but is already being linked with a move back to Europe after struggling to settle.
The 27-year-old, who is thought to have attracted Premier League interest from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City in the past, has also been tipped for a return to former club Colo-Colo of Chile.
However, Barrios says he will only leave the Chinese club if suitors are willing to pay the reported €12million (£9.7m) he cost Guangzhou.
He told Radio ADN: "Those are rumours that have come up because some time ago I expressed my intention of leaving China.
"It's speculated that I'll return to Europe, that I'll join a big club, but that doesn't depend on me.
"Guangzhou Evergrande signed me six months ago, so the only way I can leave is if someone pays what they paid to sign me.
"I have three more years left on my contract so it's complicated to leave now."
He added of his former club Colo-Colo, where he spent the 2008-09 season: "I love Colo-Colo, I'm like any supporter.
"But it would be irresponsible to delude the fans."
