Lisandro Lopez is being tracked by a number of Premier League clubs, his agent has claimed.
The Porto striker has impressed hugely since his move to Portugal from Racing Club in 2005.
But this year has seen the Argentine international really emerge and he is currently top-scorer in the SuperLiga with 21 goals - 10 ahead of his nearest rival.
Now a number of clubs are keeping tabs on Lopez, according to Fernando Hidalgo - who claims Sevilla are also amongst his admirers.
"The good performance that Lisandro has delivered since he arrived to Porto and the goals that he has scored this season for his team, being the top-scorer of the Portuguese league, has made English teams and Sevilla interested in him," Hidalgo told the Argentine press.
Hidalgo did, though, deny recent reports from Italy which suggested Roma had agreed a deal for him.
"For the moment I can't say the names of the English teams that have shown their interest but what I can say is that I haven't received any kind of proposal from Roma like it has been said in the Italian press," he said.
"Lisandro will cost nearly 15million euros (£12million) so the teams interested have to know that to start any negotiations they to have the intention to pay that amount."
