Dacourt adds to Inter's injury problems

Internazionale boss Roberto Mancini fears Olivier Dacourt could miss the rest of the season with a knee injury. Dacourt suffered the injury in last weekend's win over Fiorentina and it was initially thought that the Frenchman would be sidelined for up to six weeks with the knee ligament problem. However, scans have shown that the injury is more serious than first thought and that the former Leeds and Everton could be ruled out for the remainder of the campaign.

Blow

"It is a real blow because we thought he'd be out for six weeks at most, but instead he looks set to miss the whole campaign," said Mancini. "Unfortunately Dacourt's injury is a bad blow. I wish him all the best; he's an extraordinary man and an excellent player. We will miss him." Mancini is also unsure when Patrick Vieira will be fit again with the French international still struggling to regain fitness. "Vieira has been out for 50 days and we don't know when he will be back," concluded Mancini.
